The Household of Faith

Apostle Paul called the early Christian church community the “household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).

Believers understand the household of faith to be those related by shared faith, or “like precious faith” (2 Peter 1:1).They are brothers and sisters in Christ, members of Father’s family.

The apostle Paul identified the “household of God” as “the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).

The early church met together as a family, breaking bread in each other’s homes (Acts 2:46; 5:42). To the Ephesians, Paul said, “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household” (Ephesians 2:19).

The head of household is the Father who established the foundation of truth and righteousness (Psalms 89:14). As children of the household of faith, the foundation has been established and must be recognized through faith showing gratitude and thanksgiving with continuous praise and worship to Father God.

Continuous praise and worship establishes steadfastness of mind on Christ and His blessings to us who believe in Jesus our Savior and Lord.

You are a member of the household of faith if you believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior and Lord. There are responsibilities that each member must uphold: Fight the good fight of faith (1Timothy 6:12).

When two or three lay hold to faith in the Word of God there is nothing impossible. The household is free of strife and contention. This is a house filled with love, joy and peace which is the presence of God Who in turn blesses this family with untold blessings.

Ephesians 2: 6 reads that believers are seated in Christ Jesus at the right hand of Father. What an awesome position for one to be in within the household of faith. To sit at Father’s right hand denotes power and a position of authority. There’s no respecter of power nor authority when each belong to the same household.

As members of the household of faith one establishes divine life, healing and divine health based on the covenant with Father.

Receive the blessings of God as members of the household of faith.
