Covenant Contract

Warranty/Contract Deed

During this time of uncertainty among believers and unbelievers alike, some individuals are anxious and unsure of who they are and what belongs to them as it relates to their relationship with Father God. It is paramount that believers know (acknowledge) who they are and what belongs to them according to the Word of God. We will begin by reviewing the most important plan that was made for man. That plan of salvation through the reconciliation with Father through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. E.W. Kenyon writes, “On the basis of the blood of Christ, our sins are remitted and we are recreated.” Believers are blessed under the Covenant. The first blessing is righteousness. At the moment one accepts Christ as his/her Savior and is born again, God imparts righteousness to every born again believer who accepts the Covenant agreement. You ask, “what is righteousness? Let me tell you, Webster’s 1828 Dictionary states, “Righteousness is purity of heart and rectitude of life; conformity of heart and life to the divine law.” Righteousness has been imparted to the believer as a legal fact. Believers are made in God likeness and image. That image is an image of righteousness. Another blessing is that of union with God. Because of Jesus sacrificial obedience believers are made one with God through the blood of Jesus. Believers are blood covenant men and women. Now let’s compare a warranty deed to a covenant or an agreement made between two parties. A warrant deed is a legal document used when the ownership of a something is being transferred from one party to the next. When this transaction occurs, the giver of the property provides a warranty deed guaranteeing that they hold the title of the property and they can legally utilize it, as it has no legal encumbrances. Warranty deeds have a great deal of information, but is legally binding when properly completed. As believers we can now see the value of our blood contract given to us through Jesus, who obediently, sacrificially gave His life on the cross for all who would accept. Our warranty deed is known as THE BLOOD COVENANT. As stated in the definition of a warranty deed, the covenant is a legally binding document. Jesus is the High Priest and the Surety of the covenant. This is an irrevocable contract. My contract states:

  • I am a new creature in Christ

  • I am whole, perfect entire wanting nothing

  • I am a blood bought child of God

  • I am the righteousness in Christ

  • I am healed

  • I am rich

  • I am free of all curses, Jesus took the curse and turned it into a blessing because of His love for me

  • I have the ear and tongue of the learned

These are just a few of the binding promises afforded to me. What about you? What does your contract say concerning you?
